Waitākere Cricket Club offers a range of senior men’s teams, from Premier level through to social Twenty20. Whether you’re looking to compete at the top level or just want to enjoy a good Saturday with mates, we’ve got a spot for you.
With a proud history in West Auckland, Waitākere is a club where players back each other - on and off the pitch. We’ve got pathways for those chasing performance and development, as well as space for players who just want a reliable team, a solid wicket, and a beer after the game. No matter your level, you’ll find good cricket and good people here.
Which Grade?
Premier / Premier Reserve / Premiere Three
For competitive players chasing high-level cricket.
- Formats: T20, 50-over, two-day
- Regular trainings (Tues/Thurs), structured selections
- Access to top coaching and a clear performance pathway
Championship
For experienced players who still want to train and compete.
- Same formats as Premier, slightly less intensive
- Strong competition, supportive team culture
- Great for players returning from rep level or stepping up from social grades
One-Day Grade
For players who want regular cricket with their own teams.
- Format: 50-over matches on Saturdays
- 16 games across the season (8 pre-Christmas, 8 post-Christmas)
- Fixed teams – great for mates playing together
T20 Social Grade
Short-format cricket for time-poor or casual players.
- Format: T20 games on Saturday or Sunday
- 16-match season
- Easygoing, but still competitive – great for players of all abilities
